Description
Steamed distilled from the flowers grown wild in Turkey, Oregano (Origanum vulgare) has been known through history as a strong immune tonic. It is indicated for all types of infection, fungal and yeast infections, immune stimulant, colds, flu and viruses. It is wonderful in small amounts in a massage blend for tired, achy bodies that need rejuvenation. Great for female cramps as well. Very medicinal oil.
Key actions: Highly antibacterial, antifungal, antioxidant, stimulant, analgesic.
Blends with: other spices, citruses like orange, bergamot, lemon. Use sparingly in a blend to avoid overpowering a blend.
Warnings: Very potent, “hot” oil. Always dilute sufficiently and use caution when diffusing (blend with other oils).
