Cedarwood is hands down one of our favorite essential oils. It’s warm, earthy aroma is soothing to the body and centering for the mind. Known as the closest variety to the biblical Cedars of Lebenon our Cedarwood is the Atlas variety. It makes a fabulous addition to prayer, mediation and yoga practice. It’s also a great sedative for those who have trouble sleeping. We even find it helps enhance our dream life. Great for nervous tension, aggression and those that simply need to ground and regroup. It’s also a wonderful stimulant to the lymphatic system and urinary tract. Great for cellulite and water retention, it helps flush toxins out. Cedarwood is commonly added to hair and facial formulas for it’s effect on oily skin and scalp, acne, dandruff and hair loss. Supportive to the lungs, muscles and joints, this is really not an oil to be without. It also opens the pineal gland and has been used for spiritual communication. Very rejuvenating.
